RtS, SOX will hold. Today an additional 4 stocks in NDX made PnF buy signals. Bpndx low was 8% on Wednesday and now is 17% - bull alert. But other indicators do not confirm.

PS: I hear much moaning about the dollar plunging. Looking at a LT chart it is about in the center of a 14 year channel. stockcharts.com[w,a]maclnnay[p]&pref=G

RtS, I vote for the double bottom holding.

I'm doing some traveling this week, but I should be able to check in once in awhile with my laptop.

I had expected a little retreat today, but the loss was more than I expected. Tomorrow needs to be a better day.

I'm solidly with the "Yes, it will hold" camp! Uh, well, maybe I should tone that down a bit... how 'bout the "Yes, I hope it holds" camp! Hmmmm, then again, perhaps the "Please, oh please let it hold" camp! Nawww, show some guts AD, OK, Yes! I'm solidly with the "Yes, it will hold" camp!

I think...

>> So will the double bottom hold?

Well, on the one hand, ...........

Ah, it depends on the earnings that will be reported in the next 3 weeks.

But, yes, the double bottom will hold. Just like a double hulled tanker running aground. If it hits a big rock, it will leak. But if the usual sandy stuff, it will hold.

Anyway, I've bet all my liquid earthly holdings that the market will not collapse further from here.
Gulp!

I know the shorts are hoping that we'll be carried out feet first. But I think the econ will recover from here. What worries me about stock prices is the dollar. It looks like it has stabilized. But I am unable to find data on the funds that have flown out of the US financial system that have caused the dollar to drop. So I have no idea if they're done, or how much more there is to go - out that is.

Holding on to my illusions.
