Bush got his Harken stock by trading in his Spectrum shares. Spectrum was, to put it politely, a POS. Bush used his father's connections to make the deal. George was selling influence. Then once he collected nearly a million dollars for essentially doing nothing, he parlayed that ill-gotten gain into a fabulously unearned windfall on the Rangers scheme. Now that one was a doozy. The Dems will be letting you learn about that one soon. Bush using his influence to become a huge corporate welfare queen.
