Nadine, Yes, I saw it. I hate those kinds of stories. From the Beardstown Ladies to this barber, folks just don't understand that there is a difference between luck and skill. I could get lucky and beat Michael Jordan in a free throw contest (yes, I could! Hey, go along with my story here. O.K., let's say I could tie Shaq O'Neal. <G>), but I would be foolish to think the NBA was my future. There are some difficult things where lots of folks think that the skills are easy: writing books, photography, and investing. Or, as Johnny Carson said when asked why so many others failed at hosting late night shows: "everyone thinks my job is easy." Lots of people thought that investing was easy during the 90s, and it was. It just didn't stay that way. I also felt a twinge for the wife. I could just imagine her saying "now that we've made so much, why not buy a few bonds and lock in our future?" And him answering, "dance with the one who brung you, baby."
