early? -- possibly late, in my neck of the woods - here in Canada we had three airlines (sort of) Air Canada, WestJet and Canada 3000 - after 9-11 - the charts went in absolute cliff dive mode;

Air Canada:
finance.yahoo.com

WestJet: (an aggressively growing discount carrier)
finance.yahoo.com

Canada 3000:
-- No chart for this one, it went under - therefor sending the other two for a moon walk. So my question would be more along the lines of a Rogue event within the oil industry. By going long in this sector are you discounting any possibility of war with the ME? Are the air carriers you are speculating on have decent long-term hedging contracts with oil companies?

Too many unknowns for me...

Regards,
Frank P.

Slider,

I have read LEAPS mentioned alot but I have know earthly idea what they is or what they are......

Can you, in 500 words or less, (VBG), explain LEAPS or if you prefer, direct me to a book. How do you buy a LEAP.

Thanks,

N.

By the way, I sold all my KGC and CDE. Thanks for the heads up on the gold last summer and the CDE a month or so ago. I was off work Monday and took a pure gambling High Return (for me)/High Risk shot at VTSS and thankfully did well. 100% Cash now earning a relatively low return (1.48%)at LOW RISK.

Noticed the very successful CGMFX loaded up on airlines, UAL 5.7%, CAL 4.69%. They did pretty well with the homebuilders.
