There really is something world class about the US government, and I'm pretty sure that it will survive the USA becoming a Latin American country sometime within this century (which seems to me to be a likely prediction.)

That's an interesting thought. What leads you to it?

As for the Constitution surviving some exceptionally serious crisis, that's a thought I have no idea how to think. I don't think the fact it survived the Civil War is good evidence to that point; more likely evidence is its survival of the Depression. But I'm simply throwing off-the-top-of-the-head thoughts at the wall. None of them stick.
