08:18 ET SNE Sony Playstation 2 sales double in May (53.17) The LA Times reports that SNE's sales of PlayStation 2 in North America more than doubled in May, outpacing sales of video game machines made by MSFT and Nintendo; SNE sold more than 520k units in North America (an increase of 315k from April), while sales of MSFT's Xbox rose to 230k (up 152k) and Nintendo sold 112,300 GameCube consoles (up 30k). Briefing.com notes that this could be interpreted as good news for video game stocks, as well.
