I agree with you on one issue about Mary Faith and the 3 innocent kids, the government should allow them to start a new life with certain amount of money. But let assume the government takes away everything and leaves them nothing, then I will contribute to a trust fun in the name of the 3 kids, especially if Tony gets lock-up for a long period of time before these innocent kids turn 18 years of age. I think it is a nice humanitarian gesture to make sure the kids get decent shelter and proper education they deserve.

I won't contribute to Mary's fund because she is young and capable of working just like anyone else to start a new life. She won't get to live in a 2.2M dollars mansion anymore, but hey, neither am I.

I definitely will not contribute to Tony's defense fund. He deserves to be in jail if the jury find him guilty. If he commits a crime, he pays the price. If they find him guilty of RICO, he will lose his assets because he earned those money illegally. It is pretty clear cut to me.

With a few millions dollars and he can not buy his freedom (remember OJ the Juice), then he is guilty as a duck. Many people who committed the crimes did not have the abilities to hire the best lawyers to defend themselves, Tony is in better position than many who had to use public defenders. He should be grateful for that.

About his family not giving him support, he screws them, they are now turning their backs on him, what goes around come around. That is something Tony and his family will have to deal and live with. That is not your problem or mine.

I understand a man life is on the line here as you said, but tell me why Tony deserves a trust fund more than any other man out there who commits a crime? Does it mean you will open a trust fun for any murderer, scumbag CEO, or drug dealer, who have kids and when their life are on the line also?

Sorry, I don't see the logic in your argument.

moneymadetrader,

Let's be honest. You and Mary are sympathetic towards Anthony because he made money for you. Both of you have ulterior motives. You believe he is getting "farked". In my heart I don't believe that. Just the opposite.

I suspect a large number of his supporters also think he "did it". It may be happenstance, but three of the most prominent short traders on SI have been strangely silent about his case. One is on vacation, one is allegedly in SI jail and the other only comes out on his board occasionally to swat at flies.

Of course, Anthony is entitled to a fair trial. I hope he fares well. We shall see. I will keep an open mind on the subject, but you should do so as well.

As for a fund for Anthony, I think you're going to have a hard time collecting any funds. There are lots of reasons why this endeavor will fail, not the least of which, is that neither you nor Mary have the slightest idea whether or not a fund for his family is even warranted.

Regards, Ed

I really don't see
the logic in your thinking. Basically you are saying that Tony is getting the short end of the stick. How do you know that? How do you know what is happening to him, is unfair? Do you have direct knowledge of the events that led to his incarceration? If in fact it is proven in a court of law that Tony in fact violated the law, then he deserves to pay the price and if that happens, then he put his own "LIFE ON THE LINE". But on the other hand, if you were members of the enterprise, it would be nice for you to contribute to his defense fund after all you have ridden on his coat tails, so why not come to the aid of a fallen brother in arms! I am sure that Tony has enough money stashed in Costa Rica, Belize, Lebanon, and Canada, to provide for his family. I say Tony should be considered innocent until proven guilty. But, even though he is considered innocent, he still has to go through the justice system process and there must be guarantees that he will be around when it comes time for trial, and not laying on a beach in Lebanon or Venezuela.

It is unfortunate for his family, but it was also unfortunate for the families of David Miliken, Keating, and many others. What about the family of Jose Gonzalez who happened to be arrested for being at the wrong place at the wrong time? We gonna set up a defense fund for him? Or, what about Willy Brown that was just standing on a street corner and happened to be the wrong color? We gonna set up a defense fund for him? What about all of the homeless children right in our own communities? Who needs the help more, them or Tony's family that reportedly has $743,000 stashed in Lebanon?

If Tony can afford his current attorney, he certainly is not in need of a defense fund! If he had a public defender, well then it might make some sense. Just remember, those high power attorneys don't work for free!
