Everybody has to believe in something.
I believe I'll have another drink.
Of this delicious Arizona tea.

"Protecting the minority and letting the minority make the rules are two different things."

In some cases the justification of a minority is in its reaction(s) to the majority. An atheist is an "I'm not one of those believers" designation. If there were no such thing as believing there would be no definition for atheism. Its not a chicken and egg question. It is definitely a dependency association. The extreme position of an atheist (I'm not sure if there is any other position for an atheist) is to react in a provokational way to any position that marks belief. When that becomes political (which it is bound to do) then it becomes a dismantling platform. JMO
