No, there is not "just air there" north of $56. Look at a weekly and draw a line from the Dec/2000 thru the Sep/2001 lows. That too was a large coil that broke to the downside.

Above 56 is resistance at 59 and then the 200 day MA at 59. Lots of resistane in between. Odds favor MSFT seeing 40 before it sees 60.
