Why are you surprised that NPR is defending terrorists? Supporting homicide bombers seems to be the last bastion of liberalism, as they march onward to oblivion.

Bush's speech was pure sophistry. He'd actually offered more of a budget increase on the SEC before this speech. This was a "roll-back and build the barricades against reform" speech.

Factually incorrect. Bush had proposed a zero based budget prior to this wave of scandal.
