past decade, looking for companies that were able to post average annual share-price growth of 20 percent or more.

The meter was set at the S&P 500's low point during the last recession -- October 1990. For an end point, MONEY
measured to two dates: The low after the Sept. 11 attacks, and June 14. Prices and fundamental data are updated daily.
