Actually, it's irrelevant what money Bush *might* have made, if he had stayed in Harken stock.

'Might haves' and 'could haves' don't negate what DID happen.

By selling Harken stock at a price inflated by fraudulent Harken accounting - (when as a member of the audit committee, Bush heard about the disappointing losses) - he: 1) Benefited from the Harken 'pump and dump' and 2) Possibly parlayed insider info into an illegal gain.

It's irrelevant what he 'might have done' if he had chosen a different path.

He DID take that questionable Harken profit and multiply it greatly in a 'fortunate son' type transaction with the Texas Rangers.

Ironicly, he made more profit by taking the Harken gains over to the Rangers deal, then he 'would have, could have' if he had stayed in Harken stock... as you suggested.

Whatever people may say about it... Crony Capitalism DOES pay off for the Cronies!
