Brian, >the consistent ratings cuts that AMAT gets, even though MU has virtually no barriers to entry into its biz and AMAT is an entrenched leader in an area with huge barriers to entry. <

Sefl interest, Brian, self interest. Remember during the past cycles thow many analyst were saying that things were bad since they had missed the train when it left the station. Could it be that they are trying to beat down the stock to buy the small intestors stocks prior to another run up. Just look how many of the institutions owned AMAT when the stock EPS has veen depressed, therefore hold the share price up to around the upper $38-40 range when in all reason it should have been lower.

I do not trust the analyst.

Just my opinion.

Paul

>> One thing that always amazes me is the Strong Buy rating MU gets and the consistent ratings cuts that AMAT gets

Ask yourself who does more banking business?
