Nah - thanks for the advice, though. It really boils down to such disparate threads of consideration as institutional stubbornness, entertainment value, and the potential for personal enlightenment in the process - and, those being the factors, I'm quite completely inclined to spend a post here and there educating Duray.

FWIW, no matter what it's called - "program trading," "programmed trading," or what have you - neither are programs traded, as you said, nor in the majority of cases is trading conducted in an automated fashion by computer programs...as the name suggests and message board superstitions hold. If one were to retitle the practice far more aptly, it'd be called something far more benign (and perhaps ridiculous) sounding, like "calculation-motivated trading," or something to that effect.
