the earnings and also econ numbers make this period quite different from may, imho.

may it was after almost all earnings till csco / amat / dell ... and the consumer confidence and retail sales numbers were still up ... in fact, the gapped up on May 14 was caused by a "good" retail number.

i am sure we have some bounce here but the magnitude probably would be not as good as may's.

also, in the may run up, the gap were not completely filled on the pullback. not sure it has any significance though.
the stoch in may is quite different from current stoch too. currently the stoch has trouble to go back to overbought area.

frankly i was quite surprised a tif warning could immediately trigger a waterfall in dj30.
