The only 'tirade' that occurred today was in the market...voting in no uncertain terms that Bush's proposals for reform were stridently superficial and ineffective.

But we can expect no more from someone who came into office striving to significantly diminish the role of the SEC and to allow the 'free market' even more 'freedom' to invoke its wondrous ways.

The free market punished Enron, WorldCom, and Georgie.

Dead on Michael. Who here is even really surprised by the latest analyst's recommendations.

Not one of us.

We have all seen detailed evidence of how these ratings are changed drastically within weeks of positive advice. I think everyone here has already become completely jaded over analyst and brokerage recommendations either positive or negative.

We are tired of having a rough time making money in the market. Although most of us think the SOX double bottom will hold I doubt any of us would be surprised if it did not.

I've been reduced to looking for short term trading opportunities. Until October arrives that probably will be the best thing I can do.
