By the way, I am simply listening to what various brokers are saying, on tv and in print. Many expect a bottom shortly, and a rally before the end of the summer. Why? Because at a certain point people figure things will not go much lower, and start picking up bargains. Absent shocks, people start to put out some money in the hopes of picking winners, and we are back to normal. That is elementary, does not require great expertise, and is at least as well- founded as any other opinion about what is going to happen.
