This is the hard kernel of any peace agreement, how to re-educate those who have experienced nothing but war, repression, refugee camps, etc.,.... It's not easy. It will require a lot of help from all sides. There will be some who can not or will not learn. The alternatives are not an option. The hatred that the settlers have towards the Palestinians will not be diminished if they have to give up their settlements. They too will have to learn how not to hate. Remember too that Mandela managed to get a relatively peaceful conversion from apartheid to democracy. Unfortunately Arafat does not have Mandela's intellect and charisma. His political skills are not conducive to a democracy either.
