JF, I'm looking at the law of diminishing returns. Cutthroat competition with AMD has only accelerated that trend. It's not going to stop until one side cries "Uncle!" But to get there, a lot of blood will be shed by both sides. And that's the bad thing about the Intel vs. AMD p!$$!ng contest.

One processor I am looking forward to is Banias. For the first time, a viable processor has been designed from the ground up to be a great performer at a low power and thermal envelope. This will help break the spiral that AMD and Intel find themselves locked in, thereby becoming a sleeper success. Just like the 810 chipset, the first one by Intel to integrate graphics.
