Chinu, why on earth are you listing Golda Meyer as an answer to criticism of the treatment of women in Islam? Or Marget Thatcher? Or Mary Robinson, the Irish ex-president who's now meddling at the UN? Or Evita Peron? What do these women have to do with the legitimate criticisms of the Islamic world? Nor do I see that the US has anything to be hang its head about, simply because women have "only" made it to Congress, the Senate, the Supreme Court and the Cabinet. A women president will come in time.

You should also note that every Islamic female ruler you have listed is the widow or the daughter of a previous ruler. Your list is not a testimony to the equal treatment of women, but to the Third World's habit of dynastic rule.

Don't lecture the world about how women in a society should be treated.

Do you think women are treated better in the US or in Saudi Arabia? Why? Which place would you rather have your daughter raised?
