That's inane and unsupported, IMO. Perhaps you cower in fear of Republican attempts to honestly convey the dangers, but the important folks in this country get going when they well understand that the going has gotten tough.

As a painted poster I saw linked here recently said, "Shut the F***-up, We'll defend America.

you will be the first sissy screaming when another attack comes, too, saying that the government is not holding your hand hard enough.

The problem is that the US government has tied it's own hands wrt fighting terrorism. The only effective tool is profiling, and it is illegal. Consider the LAX incident last week (I'm glad I flew directly to San Diego.) The perpetrator had no criminal record, but fit the Sept. 11 profile. Unfortunately the Secretary of Transportation is emotionally scarred from WWII and refuses to take the necessary steps to prevent this sort of thing from happening.

Even worse is the failure to hold other countries responsible for the hatred and terrorists they intentionally foster. After Sept. 11, Bush had an easy target in Afghanistan. Who is he going to go after next time?
