Hi Eugene,
I am the mob and i like to hear that. Besides being "clean" down the road--actually we are clean now because who would dare break the law now-- we are also in a period of increased supply of money, increase pressure being put on the banks by the FED(i hope) to actually loan that money out, another decade of very postive demographics. Ultimately this should overcome the bear. The big danger i see is what excessive money might do long term, and what happens after the boomers start to retire in droves. This may prevent the higher end of valuations. Maybe this downturn will force us boomers to work forever. Given my sex life during this debacle of a market, that might not be such a bad idea. We always have Gottfrieds boat to go to now that his wife is working too<g>. mb

Gene, I was wondering if you had changed your strategy for now; given the fact that TA at this point seems to have either failed or sucked alot of people back in looking for a rally. Longer term do you think that the market has to be shunned and stocks sold so much that the market (not the fundamentals, ie as in your post) will have to look like 74 to 82? That is my fear; during the late 90s when the investor love of the stories expanded the pool of buyers ; this time becomes a mirror image driving such good companies to values not seen in decades. How low do we go?
