Might yields improve if there was less pressure on raising average frequency?

Ummmmmm...... Maybe..... Some of the Process Engineering resources devoted to Speed Projects could be redirected to Yield, but it depends if the return would be greater for having more product (yield), vs the higher ASP of Higher Speed parts. You might get both, but what's the customer buying? Currently, not much, maybe neither. In that case I would think that Direct Manufacturing Cost Reduction Projects themselves, might be the best way to go IMO.
