Dan, <Hammer will sell that many units in its first day.>

Forget that. Hammer will sell that many units before its "first day" on pre-orders alone.

Of course, the wait time will be two months, but for AMD, that's par for the course. Watch as AMD counts the revenue on pre-orders before actually delivering product. ;-)

RE:"Microsoft will make sure the world understands how very much we all need 64-bit processors and operating systems, and how utterly outdated the old 32-bit chips are. Itanic can't run any real software, and what's the point of buying a Pentium? Why bother replacing one obsolete 32-bit chip with another obsolete 32-bit chip?"

Has AMD hired a PR firm to push 64 bit or are they going to rely on microsoft?
I think they better hire a firm...hope they have enough money.
