Intent to Sell

TSX bulletin 2002-0985
Teck Cominco Limited has filed a notice of intention to sell up to 1.5
million common shares of Western Copper Holdings Limited through the
facilities of the Toronto Stock Exchange on or after Sept. 17, 2002.
Teck Cominco Limited is currently the registered and beneficial owner of
6,493,117 common shares.
All of the sales will be made in accordance with the orderly marketing
requirements as set out in Policy 4-305 of the TSX.
