By your obsolete line of reasoning Americans would never have: Purchased Louisianna. Settled the west. Built the St. Lawrence Seaway or Panama Canal. Entered WWII. Landed on the moon. Liberalism is, among other faults, a sterile philosophy that looks at the dark side and stifles the dreams of the culture is feeds on like a disease.
