If there's something there, so be it. If there's something there, it won't die if he releases it. But if there's nothing there, it won't die from hiding it either. Disclosure is even more important here than in the Clinton scenarios, because the argument itself is about the integrity of financial disclosures. How can Bush take the high ground and urge reform and full disclosure if his own past business dealings are not subjected to scrutiny?

I think this is a golden opportunity for GWB to distinguish himself from his predecessor.
