Mulholland, you are a master at drawing conclusions, as well that gun from your hip. Your aim's not too good, though. <<gg>>

I was uploading house photos to the Internet before most other agents even knew it could be done. Agents in our area had no choice but to get ahead of the technology curve---when our fearless leaders decided to merge our MLS into a humongous multi-state beast, we got the first system in the country that could slice, dice, and even paint the front porch for you if you punched the right key on your home PC.

Was also one of the first Realtors to have my own email link on Realtor.com--that was downright revolutionary at the time.

Hey, I've only been "slightly" retired for about two years--not a dinosaur yet. And I'm 35 years younger than some of the oldest agents in my former office. (THOSE were the ones who had to be dragged kicking & screaming into the New Age of Technology).

As for those negotiable commissions....funny how often that is brought up on this thread. It takes two to negotiate but only one to say no. I said no more than once. Had all of about two (2) sellers say no to me. Under special circumstances, different fees might apply, but not often. The owner of the company dedided a long time ago what our services were worth and we agreed to abide by his fee schedule as a condition of joining the firm.

Have no idea what other firms were charging for their services, but since we were always number one or two in sales and listing volume, I guess we were competitive.
