Has anyone here had the chance to use the retail version of Mediafour Windows based IPOD software?

I hate to say it or see it, because I love the products, but if all of the fancy strategies don't work by December or so, I see little hope.

Several years ago I wrote:

While Apple is out of immediate danger, substantial risks still remain. I for one don't see how a strategy to play the end game.

Well, this is the end game. Apple keeps on making above-par moves (iMac, iPod, PBs, OSX, eMac, flat panel iMac, iTools, iBook, XServe), but the PC stronghold doesn't even flinch.

Apple is sitting on a big pile of cash, so they can go on for a while a longer releasing quality products to see if the market finally moves... their only hope is the digital hub. Make the iMac the set-top box that controls games, video, napster... erh music, internet, e-mail...

It looks like crunch time for this stock. I hate to say it or see it, because I love the products, but if all of the fancy strategies don't work by December or so, I see little hope

the strategies have already worked, they worked by last december and the december before..etc...... apple has been making lots of money to put into the bank....

the thing you are confusing for a strategy that is not working, is a market place that will not buy a computer of any kind because of the slowdown in the economy.....

apple can only wait until this situation turns around, it doesn't have to change strategies becaue the ones they have did work.... when the economy allows consumers to buy computers....

if apple wanted to make even more money in the mean time, they can fix their production problems at the launch of these new innovative products.....

if they want to make even more money they just have to have launches every four months instead of every 8 months to a year.....

if they wanted even more money all they have to do is speed bumb the Mhz rating of the CPU's to twice what ever intel is selling..... (translates to four times the speed)........

none of this is easy, and why they haven't done any of it yet..... but they all could be done.... IBM demonstrated CPUs that could easily have the MHZ crown.....

but APPLE certainly doesn't need to change strategies to get to something like Gateway's or CPQ's strategy or the Dell strategy, Apple would get as killed as those box makers in their market...........

if apple could fix the economy.... i'm sure they would..... if that is what you mean by a strategy.....
