tekboy, Now that I understand what you were trying to say ... I let them stand upright in the bottle for a while so all the crap falls to the bottom. Along with the plain-language laws, that makes de-canting them much easier... Anyone who spends as much money on wine as you do would benefit from poring through the reams of articles explaining why it's much better to collect the sediment with the bottle laid on its side. And yes, decanting will also be much easier. --Mike Buckley
