mind, If your time horizon is 10-15 years and if you range trade, I definitely believe that the stock market can be the place to go. I think that we can reasonably expect that the NAZ to range trade between 1100-2000 for several rounds before it breaks up to at least 2500. However, the booming days are gone. And I am really worried that we can have a double recession in which the second one lasts years. Given the fact that the horrible performance of the stock market, the likely burst of housing market bubble, another round of significant devaluation of the us dollars, and significant increase in unemployment rate (I am still sticking to 6.5-7% before it gets much better), the possibility of double recession is much bigger than most people believe.

The volume is too low, the put:call ratio is too low, for us to get at least an intermediate bottom. I don't like the slow bleeding at all. Maybe we can get a good trading rebound when the DOW tests 911 low. So far all the technical support has proved to be a one day and one hour support. That's pathetic.
