I would appreciate anyone's views. I have been with SSB for quite some time. I don't think they've been any better or really any worse than the other houses. I question sometimes when I was at that big all time high (like most of us were) why I was not encouraged to take some profits and move some of those things to fixed income vehicles. Now that I am 60% down from that point...I am being encouraged and in fact have moved most of my assets in that direction. The point? I don't see where working with SSB and their "expert" advice has helped me any at all these past years. I study the stuff, take IBD and am not totally stupid. I am considering strongly moving my IRA to Charles Scwabb. Does anyone have a particular thought about this? Do most of you manage your own IRAs? I'm 55 years old.
Any of your views would be most appreciated.
