It's, like, -g- 'be careful what you (Bush/Rove/Hughes) ...

...wish for.'

A trite idiom popularized (rather, peddled to the gullible ignorant masses, at personal profit, of course) by the likes of the late Ann Landers.

Raymond, markets see that Bush practically strives

to be behind the curve. That is LOSING FACE BIG TIME.

Let's see; a year ago the U.S. Press was having the
mommy of all field days over analysts and Greenspan.
Can those mothers give you an earful, sheesh.
The economy was going to %&$# in a sort of chinese
water torture way. And there were rumors of wars and
terrorist activity.

Bush simply seems to have missed that all. Why did he
HAVE to shoot himself in the foot by installing Harvey
Pitt as SEC Head? Heck, the guy can hardly open his
mouth without being in danger of conflicts of interest.

They're all in bed together and it has been going on
for a very long time. But still they seem clueless.
What are all those advisers for?
