Wouldn't that be NICE?????? Yes, I'm CERTAIN that you would make a bright, proper and happy impression!!! As you likely know, one would be FOOLISH to entrust such valuable items by thoughtlessly tossing them into the f*king Maytag. With the 18-year-old 'child's' dungarees and tube socks. -g- Because I care greatly for sensitive, refined and highly Liberal Arts-educated-and-happily-unemployed indivicuals such as yourself, I'm going to take to time to write to you here the 'proper' procedure for laundering ... I'm certain that Ms. Martha Stewart would agree... 1. In a sterilized basin (the servants' kitchen sink, even, would suffice, IF STERILIZED), pour previously -chilled BOTTLED water (i.e. "Ozarka" brand) [NOTE: NEVER use, for heaven's sake, TAP WATER RIGHT OUT OF THE DIRTY FAUCET], to a level that is precisely 62.055% from the lip of the receptacle (the SINK). 2. Carefully measure in a STERILIZED receptacle (NOT, for 'God's sake,' the cap of the bottle. It could contain GERMS and BACTERIA!!!), one ounce (.233 millileters) of Woolite-brand Delicate Cold Water Wash liquid. 3. Using an imported-from-Germany stainless steel whisk blending instrument, gently swirl the Woollite cleaning material into the pristine cool waters -- in a CLOCKWISE motion -- in the basin for a minimum of 97.6 seconds ... or, roughly, 177.38 turns, or motions. 4. Using an hourglass egg timer (again, it must be imported from Europe -- Switzerland, preferrably -- as such items are rigidly scrutinized for quality and accuracy 'over there' i.e. Mercedes automobiles. Plus, they use Greenwich Mean Time for hourglass, sundial types of precision instruments, you understand. 5. Using sterilized stainless steel tongs imported from Europe, gently grip each doily precisely ONE INCH (or 2.4 mm) from the exquisitely finished edge. GLIDE the precious pieces about 2 inches beneath the surface of the cleansing material in the cleansing basin ... you may want to consider the process as a sort of 'renaisssance' ... taking place in a 'Holy Water Font,' to make the experience more memorable ... and enjoyable! ...back in a minute with 'Part II: Neocon Washing the Doilies.' ... (I have an important errand to run ... deeply sorry for the inconvenience) <breathlessly!!> bia
