Will it really matter?

If AMD wants to remain even remotely cost competitive and stay in the microprocessor game, it matters a sh*tload... If AMD wants to exit the microprocessor game and focus on flash, it won't.

Hi Jim and Thread, "Qwest Communications (NYSE:Q - News) disclosed the U. S. Attorney's office in Denver began a criminal investigation of the company, sending shares down a debilitating 33 percent. The troubled telecom firm said the subject of the probe had not been disclosed."

biz.yahoo.com

This may be the thing about one of their VCs that reportedly was caught doing something similar to what happened to one of Cisco's Biz Dev (Cisco immediately got rid of him and assisted prosecutors), though reportedly Qwest had more than one guy tangled up in their problem, thus yielding a certain perception that may explain why an investigation on the company. Or maybe this could be another investigation over falling stock prices - people in their industry that are located in Denver have been quite vocal about certain former executives.

Regards,
Amy J
