That depends is you simply pay a flat fee to enter MLS or pay a commission for a full service broker. What people don't realize is that most all brokers enter listings in MLS where all the rest of the MLS members can see. So going with some big name "higher commission" broker doesn't necessarily get you anything extra.
Some people can show the house themselves even negociate a contract. Personally, I don't know why anyone whould want to to that. It can be a real burden. For the exta percent or two or...I'd hire a full service realtor. But I'm not everyone.
