I'm thinking about putting my IRA all over from SSB to Charles Scwab. I've been frequenting this thread for a few years. Do you guys manage your own IRAs? Or do most have one of the houses do it with input from you? I just don't see that SSB has helped me at all these past few years. It has always been my ideas. Then, where were they when I had that great "all time high"...like you all had. No one at any time suggested taking some of those profits and putting that into some fixed income vehicles. No, it was when I got down 60% that that recommendation came in to play.
I would appreciate your views on this issue. I've been thinking about this for quite some time. BTW, I'm 55.
Sueponine.
