You made money on Zitel, wow, may i touch a corner of your robe for luck .... it was in lurking a discussion of that one that i first ran into the Double Zero people, early days of SI, when FBN was being thought up and they hadn't yet added the A to distinguish it from the ny-listed furniture company ... and the message to that was - you're exactly right - 'you can't believe everything you read on an investment board' -g-

Trivia factoid on xcl - early in the days of canadian television there was a programme called Front Page Challenge, they would have guests involved in topical news stories, known to the audience and viewers but not to the panel of four pundits, hidden behind a screen .... the four, all quite bright and articulate, would ask questions in an attempt to identify the guest and the news story ... and they would crack jokes and let slip a great deal of relevant juicy detail on canadian politics, stuff you wouldn't get from a newspaper, and very entertaining, FPC ran for many years .... one panelist was a lady named Betty Kennedy, smart as a whip yet quite lady-like about it, this was the fifties of course ... she later married another on the panel, big canadian author Pierre Berton ... also she is currently a senator ... anyway, you don't find much higher society in this country, and she's the mother of Shawn Kennedy, president of X-Cal .... which has likely aided him in making connections [there are many europeans holding the stock], but at the same time he is a practical man, is proficient with a chainsaw, and can fix his own, that i respect

Not everyone is impressed at times with his homegrown style of promotion, a system in which the westcoast promo houses don't get fed cheap shares and warrants at regular PP intervals to motivate them to push the shareprice for long enough for them to dump their own .... notice that he has not done any major financings yet this year, a small one only on 24 May, 1.5m at .45 with half-warrants at .60 ... he needs five millions or more to advance Sleeper significantly, he will accept only terms he views as favourable, will he get them sooner or later, this is the question ... fairly soon i think, but you never know .... the Gata people have picked up on xcl, hard to say if this is asset or liability because they came on in such a rush a few weeks ago and made it spike up weak, but if they or others can do that again more convincingly, and it aids SK in getting off say five millions shares at a loonie apiece, then look out above - the chances of pulling bonanza grade core at Sleeper within the first few dozen drill holes are quite good .... there is already a considerable resource developed, not quite ready for TSE standards of measured and indicated, but not that far away either .... at this point it's a matter of financing, how much, on what terms, and when .... lots on decent terms relatively soon i think maybe, it would sure help if the PoG would hurry up with its next test of the 330 level
