Hi Mike,

you need to hurry and go short so that stocks will rise and the bottom will be behind us.

Golly, I thought for sure that when I got the trading account flat (almost totally in cash) last week that would do the trick - and from the appearance of the NAZ chart for last Wed and Fri you'd have thought it worked. Maybe I jinxed something by going long on Mon. You're right - I'll just go short to the limit of my margin buying power if everyone else will cover my losses + 10% -- OK?? <VBG>

I heard the same Art Cashin closing tag - and think there's been a lot of truth to it. His quips are sometimes about the only humorous thing coming off the floor. Someday, something will change that "keeping the wallet on the hip" mentality, but for now I guess we'll wander like Diogenes except in search of buyers. Actually, we may be getting closer to the bottom as pessimism is starting to mount -- something that wasn't present all spring -- and so is some volume. We might bounce tomorrow, but for the greater good, I rather hope not; I think we'd be better served if the rest of the week had increasing volume and continued drops in the indexes (except XAU, of course).

Even so, keep an eye on TALK, LBIX, ITRU, FFIV, AKSY, DSCM, PSSA, SSRI, HGMCY and of course DROOY.

Peace and Justice --- Patrick
