I think trying your best and failing is a great learning tool. Ive learned much more about me, and my limits by loosing and coming back to fight again. People who fail to learn how to fail are doomed to that fate. Its sad, and a comentary on our society that we are afraid to allow are children to understand that when they get knocked down(lose) its not a crime but the crime is not getting back up and trying again. Frankly our society is just unraveling before my eyes. The crying multimillion dollar, gun toting athletes to CEO's so greedy they are willing to jeopordise 1000's of people to feed their own ego's. We are trully a ship adrift with no captain.

jpgill, your message is unfortunately completely ON-topic

the same attitude that allows parents to accept that there is no final score in a game and that its not "fun" if you keep score is the attitude that allows these hapless sheep to accept letters from the mutual fund industry that say "well, we lost 20% of your money last year, but we tried really hard and we did better than 50.00005% of other money managers so we're actually doing a good job for you".

i applaud your daughter as well as the teachings of her parents. unfortunately, she is well on her way to being ostracized by what passes for polite society (as defined by the sheeple of today).

where o' where is Guy Montag when you need him. (maybe your daughter is Clarisse??)

Cheers
