Smartmoney..CNBC did a segment this evening on stock options; and if companies included expense of these stock options, Yahoo would be impacted severely.

To the point that this current quarter, they actually LOST about $40M, instead of making money.

Same for INTC

As Fleckenstein so adequately said:

EBITDA = Earnings Before I Trick Da Auditors.

<7.5 million income from operations. Oh boy....> that says it all. I root for Yahoo to find a way to be a viable moneymaking entity, as i like Yahoo! as a service a great deal , but they just are not doing it.
I still like their "the old fashioned" category search, such as wanting to read a newspaper , you can find most any newspaper in the world on the net and in a minute using their method.
Or their sports sector, just, for me,is without parallel.
And weather, and so on and so on---but they just can't , yet, find a way to convert all this service into dollars.
But i think an internet without Yahoo would be a huge loss for the internet, and damaging to its future.Max
