It sure seems like you're obsessed with putting people in categories that they feel have nothing to do with them (given the complexities they recognize in their political perceptions/analysis even if you don't.) It seems almost like a form of Tourette's Syndrome! I don't see what you have when you've done it, either. (I know I've said that before; but I don't know!) The issues remain to be discussed or not, elucidated or not, areas of agreement will emerge or not... so what the heck do you get out of the labeling dealie?

Isn't opposition to globalization and free trade pretty much the litmus issue for the "left" classification these days? I don't think they'll have me, seeing as I stand completely on the pro-capitalist side of that particular fence.

Not that being unclassified is something I object to....
