sorry, i was not referring to you at all. Doesn't matter; it was too harsh a comment no matter who I was referring to.

I agree, many retail investors are gone and won't be back. And it looks like mut fund redemptions are picking up.

Diversification helps, but even that strategy would not have saved one's butt. Many varied sectors have gotten crushed, not just high tech.

In the year since you wrote that message, CSCO had appreciated 37%: a very respectable return.

You mentioned several lessons this market has taught investors. Some were learned correctly and some were not.

One statement you made stands out: do not give up. You were correct. It's easy to see that now. It was much harder then.
