Earnings are meaningless at this point in the downturn when valuing most companies since few cos have them. Look at PSR and you will get an entirely different picture, showing this downturn no different than any other.

Dear Steve Lee: one or two more 50% haircuts in the Tech area sounds like maybe near to ZERO pricing. haha. Your chart basically compares earnings to prices. Not so sure thats a good comparison since earnings at least in many techs are abnormally low. No one is going to buy at the EXACT BOTTOM and no one even will know where its at until too late. Thats why I am saying buy slow, buy quality at YOUR price and ease in. You may find it goes lower but the big picture is where will it be in 5-10 years? If you cannot hold out AT LEAST 5 years stay in cash (right now interest rates are so low I cant even suggest fixed income securities). JDN
