Quite remarkable that only 22 civilians were killed at Jenin. That is one less than the number of suicide bombers the camp produced during the previous year, who accounted for over 1000 civilian maimings and deaths in Israel. The terrorists booby trapped over 50 houses in Jenin with explosives, and used women and children to lure the IDF into the traps. The IDF should be greatly commended for their restraint. No doubt the US military would have simply bombed the camp, and civilian casualties would have been much, much higher (and military casualties would have been much lower.)
