BK Report gives outlook for electronics in China Semiconductor Business News (07/11/02 06:15 a.m. EST) HONG KONG - A report titled " Electronics Industry Outlook: China ", jointly published by Electronic Engineering Times-China (EE Times-China) and Electronic Buyers' News-China (EBN-China), has been released by Global Sources Ltd. The report, totaling 106 pages, examines 15 electronics equipment segments, including wireless and wired telecommunications, networking equipment and computer products. It details statistics on demand, production and imports. The report also provides an economic overview, an update on significant government policies and reforms, and adetailed electronics industry overview. EE Times China and EBN-China are published by eMedia Asia Ltd., a joint venture between Global Sources and CMP Media LLC, the publisher of Semiconductor Business News. "China's electronics and IT industries have performed well over the last decade, each recording average annual growth rates of 33%. Electronics Industry Outlook: China is the first report of its kind that compiles and analyzes data from various sources, including in-house research, to examine both the current performance and future potential of this robust marketplace," said Mark Saunderson the publisher of EE Times-China and EBN-China, in a statement. "China's Ministry of Information Industry (MII) expects growth to continue with output of electronics products increasing 20% year-on-year to reach $195 billion in 2002," Saunderson said. "With its status as the world's manufacturing center, and potentially largest consumer market, the mainland is attracting significant investment from technology vendors across the globe. The report updates those potential investors on the opportunities and challenges of doing business in China."
