Tonka, thanks, most live in denial, false faith in Fed
and false faith in the financial system to prevail
unfortunately, the entire banking and currency system is flawed
every few decades, it is time to pay for the crimes against economics by politicians, companies, and households

anyone who knows anything about the Fed and its policies now realizes that THEY HAVE LOST POWER TO RESUSCITATE THE ECONOMY
this is sad, but they backed themselves into a corner after 20 years of continued abuse and poor judgment
now they cannot stimulate the economy anymore
or else risk a USDollar freefall !!!

this week we got a shocker in Pitt School Board
3 philanthropic institutions decided to pull funding of the city public schools by $12M per year
they cited disarray, poor leadership, poor teaching quality
now pressure will mount for more property tax hikes

I see property tax as the quiet harpoon to real estate
right thru the heart

thanks for sharing
I knew software was in trouble, now confirmed
no hiring in my strong field either, statistical consulting
not that the skill isnt valuable
but the clients died on widespread basis

the real estate cracks start at the top
then upper middle class
then middle class
thanks again, jim

"When I talk to family and friends (bright, well educated people)...they see it "going to turn around here in a little bit..."

Little metal Truck (cool name),

With all due respect, Bright and well educated does not equal wisdom. All I believe brightness does is breed complacency.

If it looks like a guillotine
if the blade looks real sharp
if it smells horribly like death
if your standing in the line behind it
you guess the next line.

My favorite line I here from all my friends who are brighter than me (that would make it all of them) is:

"I'm in TIAA Kreff, its okay, their invested in mutual funds."

knock, knock hello?

Dim, Tim

Quote of The Day

"I see in the near future a crisis approaching. It unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. The money power preys upon the nation in times of peace and conspires against it in times of adversity. It is more despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, more selfish than bureaucracy. It denounces, as public enemies, all who question its methods or throw light upon its crimes.

I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me & the financial institutions at the rear; the latter is my greatest foe. Corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until the wealth is aggregated in the hands of a few, and the Republic is destroyed."

-President Abraham Lincoln, Nov 21, 1864
