Things are looking very ugly.

Not many investors have lived through this type of market before. It still hasn't reached the declines we had in the mid 70s which was during a period of inflation making it seem even worse.

This will make lots of people question their assumptions. Many who swore they were long-term investors will find that they really can't ride through the big declines after all.

<Dow is down to 8625. Things are looking very ugly.>

The wheels are starting to come off the global markets and economies. If we see another 10% drop in the dollar relative to the yen, the Japan's export oriented economy will implode, dragging the rest of the world's economies down with it.

WBMW, you (and everyone else) might have spoken too soon. Stocks are quickly heading back into positive territory as I type.

Congrats! You called a bottom, and you didn't even need P&F voodoo! ;-)
