I don't see it as a "Patriotism" issue. Calling it "Marxist" is just a comment on his viewpoint. Don't look for a "Witch Hunt" in every criticism of an Academic.

Oh, I think if you go back and ponder why he chose adjective x rather than y, you'll see it was the patriotism violin he was playing. I don't wish to insist all folk on the right do this. But it is a peculiar sin of the right. The left does different things; just not this thing.
