If tony were trying to hide funds, he wouldn't have bought real estate or a business in any country. I would think he would have put it in an offshore fund in a holding company's name or something. It doesn't look to me like he was funneling cash out of the country or fueling any 911 actions. Doesn't look like the actions of someone fleeing. It's also not cash but illiquid assets.

You make it seem like tony stole money from teh government and is trying to hide it away while the government is just trying to recover their own funds. It seems to me he just made money investing and bought a resort condo and a business. What's so illegal about that? I don't see anything wrong.
